Acoustic Wedding & Event Band FAQ
Will the band perform fully acoustically or will they have some amplification?
The majority of our acoustic bands perform with amplification. We find this is the best way to make sure they are heard over the crowd. Things like vocals and acoustic guitars don't tend to carry so far if there are 50+ wedding guests standing near by. In some cases where a venue requires that the act don't use amplification that is absolutely possible. We also have a host of amazing fully acoustic wedding and event acts who can play wandering and with no amplification at all.
How much do acoustic wedding and event bands tend to cost?
It usually all depends on the size of the band, how far they need to travel, and how in demand they are. We have a few solo acoustic acts who come in between £250 and £500 for a wedding ceremony and drinks reception. We have some wandering / roaming acoustic bands who can perform for between £900 and £1500. The we have some really premium high end bands who can come in between £1800 and £3000 depending on the date and location.
Is it worth asking my evening reception entertainment to perform earlier in the day?
Yes definitely. The majority of our evening bands are more than happy to offer around an hour of music for earlier in the day in the form of a solo acoustic act, duo, or even a full band depending on your budget. This can work out relatively cheaply as means you only have to pay travel once. We also find it really warms your guests up to the band for evening dancing so definitely worth considering. Another added bonus of having your musicians there all day is sometimes they can provide PA for the day for things like speeches or a playlist during the wedding breakfast.
