The BL4 are a banjo led folk and festival wedding band from Edinburgh, Scotland. They deliver classic and contemporary live music in an original, never before heard Mumford and Sons / bluegrass style with mashups galore. The band is a tweed clad quartet that consists of male vocals with three part harmony, acoustic guitar, double bass, banjo, and drums. They have been wowing crowds and cramming dance floors ever since their beginning in 2007 with their mix of hip hop, funk, swing, electronica, indie rock, dance and more.
Their show credentials include Wickerman Festival, Edinburgh Film, Kelburn Festival, Fynefest, Mhorfest, Sessions Festival Aberdeen, and hundreds of weddings, bars and parties.

The band offer an eclectic mix of modern and classic music in a stripped back bluegrass / folk style. With their awesome acoustic line-up they can play plugged through their PA or fully acoustically so wherever you can imagine having a band they can play. Their sets are suited to getting people dancing at evening wedding receptions but they are also at home entertaining at corporate events, drinks receptions, or even at large scale festivals.

The band are based in Edinburgh, Scotland but willing to travel. We've booked them for weddings and events all over the North. Let us know your wedding or party location and we can organise a quote for you with travel costs included. They have played almost all of Scotland's best known bars and venues including The Jazz Bar, Brewhemia, Stramash (Edinburgh), The Beer Kitchen (Dundee), Hootananny's (Inverness), and The Old Bridge Inn (Aviemore).
