Samurais of Swing
Gypsy Jazz Busking Band
Brighton based, Samurais of Swing, started out on the streets as a busking band with 2 rules - no rehearsals, no set lists! Now they are performing all over the world with hugely successful tours of Istanbul, Germany, Sweden, Luxembourg, Italy, Switzerland, France, and Holland.
They play weddings, festivals, clubs and parties, busking as they go from show to show. This gypsy style band mix the sounds of 30s Parisian swing with New Orleans and are sure to entertain and delight any crowd of any age. They come as a trio, a 5-piece or all the way up to a nine piece including a beautiful female vocal trio. They are a truly flexible and dynamic, vintage style band perfect for any occasion.
Great Jazz Musicians
The trio consists of alto saxophone, acoustic guitar and tuba and can can create a perfect combination of gypsy swing rhythm with dirty horn jazz. The band use 3 part vocal harmonies to complete their stunning sound. The whole sound is greater than the some of the parts due to the synergy created by three excellent musicians. Audiences really get into and love the full Samurai sound.
The full big band includes double bass, trumpet, female vocal trio and can also include drums and percussion.
The line-up choice is up to you. Whether you are looking for a busking band to entertain your guests or maybe a full big band to get everyone up dancing and singing then look no further.
